Ok lets try this again. Last night I started my 2nd attempt at the Curly Girl (CG) Method. I did my cleansing with Giovanni 50/50 shampoo and co-washed with Suave Tropical Coconut.
And now for the styling........I used Let's Jam Custard and Argan Oil Eco Styler Gel.
The process of applying the Lets Jam Custard and the Argan Oil Gel took about 20 minutes all together. And the drying time was about.........12 hrs. OMG. I had no idea it would take that long. I finished my hair around 9pm and when I went to bed at 5am it was still wet, not just a little wet but a whole lot-a wet. I slept with a small fan next to the bed to help with the drying process and around 9am it was mostly dry.
Once my hair was dry I checked it out in the mirror and what I saw I didnt like. I had little crystals all over my hair. I never had this happen, not even when I used the Argan Oil Gel alone or with any other product. So of course I had the sour face going on. But oh well because I had a wedding to go to and so what could I do.
As far as my curls.....well I think when my hair gets longer my curls will be very nice but since my hair is still virtually short all I see is Jheri Curl. But I am still going to stick it out and see what happens. The hold of the custard and gel was surprising though. I thought my hair would be hard or at least a little stiff, but instead it was very soft. I was very happy about that because it saved me the step of trying to scrunch the hardness out. I will try this process again but not using these products together.
if u would of had used the jam curstard with the conditoner or the ecostyler gel alone with the conditioner u would not have the crystals i learned that from mahgonany curls look her up on youtube she always uses one or the other but with a conditoner
ReplyDeleteYeah I watch MahoganyCurls that's why I used the custard and gel together. She said the gel didnt go well with the Tresemme Naturals but the gel and custard works well together. I guess everyone's hair is different and will take in products differently.
