Update on KimLiveFit Boot Camp

I started on another weight loss challenge on Oct 6. With several other women. We started with a detox and mine was smoothies and continued with trying to eat right. I lost 7 pounds the 1st 2 weeks and then there was nothing.
For the month of November we are starting off with another detox. This time it's a 10 day Cabbage Soup Diet detox. Cabbage Soup wooooo what can I say.....Weeeelllll first let me just say I hate soup. 2nd the soup wasn't actually bad but I hate soup. The other ladies are doing a different version of the one I am doing. My version only allowed me to eat fruit on certain days, I could eat a potato on day 2, I could eat steak and/or chicken on day 5 and 6 and of course cabbage soup at least 3-4 times a day.
Ok needless to say this has been very hard. Eating the same soup everyday for 8 days (so far) is driving me overboard. But the silver lining that is shining so brightly is MY SOUP IS GONE. I made 2 batches of the soup and I ate the last bowl tonight. So for the next two days I will be doing smoothies. I am excited to see what the 10 days will bring. So far I am down 7 pounds. I believe I would have done better if I had been exercising last week but mother nature was paying a visit and exercise was definitely out of the picture. Oh yeah and I had a couple of slip ups. Ooops. But basically a pound a day... I will surely take it.
We end this challenge on Dec. 23 so I need to step up my game. I need to be 180 or at least 190 by then. That's what 22 to 32 pounds in a month and a half. Whoa. Lets see how close I can get to that. Anything and everything is possible when you are determined. I just have to resist my cravings. OK that's all I have for now catch you up later. Smooches and as always HAPPY LOSING.

Kim Live Fit Boot Camp and NurtiBullet

Ok lets try this again. Last week I started another weight lose journey with my friend Kim and some more ladies. We detoxed last week. Kim ate fruits and veggies. I did juicing (well extracting). I bought the NutriBullet by Magic Bullet. So I extracted veggies and fruits. Yes I slipped up a couple of day but over all I did ok.
Today marks the actual start of the challenge. We had to make a meal plan and we have to workout 2 hours a day. The plan is to eat clean. Fresh fruits, veggies and lean protein. No breads and sweets. Eat foods high in fiber. Healthy snacks no more than 200 calories and eat small meals every 2 to 3 hours.
Of course we need to burn off more calories than we take in. Strength training will help us to burn fat quicker. My calorie intake will be 1200 calories and I want to burn at least 1500 calories a day. So my goal is to walk at least 2 days on the walking trail with a friend for an hour and the others days walk at home on the tread mill for an hour. My other hour will be The Firm for 3 days with additional weight training. The other days will be another exercise dvd (I haven't decided which one yet) plus additional weight training and abs. I will do this 6 days a week and rest one day (most likely Saturday).
The NutriBullet.....what can I say. Well I bought the NutriBullet before I did research on it. So after I bought it I started looking up recipes to make on Google and YouTube. I also researched what others thought of it. The NutriBullet has a great review. Every video I saw and every article I read only had good things to say. They said the smoothies were so good and they gave them so much energy. The Nurtibullet blends the concoctions so well, down to a complete liquid. My opinion is the concoctions takes some getting use to. Yes it blends very well down to a complete liquid when water is added correctly. Frozen fruits are great to use for the smoothies because it already has ice in it. You will need to add something frozen because the speed of the blades will make the smoothie warm if nothing icy is in it.
I juiced (extracted) for 4 days. I couldnt take it any more. I actually got used to the smoothies but the fact that I wasnt chewing anything drove me over the edge. And late at night I wanted sweets. And yes I gave in to those wants. The first day I lost 3 pounds and the second day I lost 2 pounds. If I had stuck to my guns and not have succumb to my cravings I probably could have lost at least 12 pounds. My cravings cost me 2 days of weight lose. I didnt even have a lot so that goes to show how sweets are detrimental to weight lose. So my total weight lost for the week is 6 pounds. Not bad huh...could have been better. But I will take it.
Its on you guys I pray this time is a winner. We started on 10-7-13 and we are going until 12-23-13. We end 2 days before my birthday. I need to be under 190. Oh yeah that will be a great birthday present to myself. With that being said...... Happy Losing Losers.

Its Been Awhile

Yassss it's been a good while. Let's see.....what have I been doing......well mostly working, enjoying life, getting married, oh and not doing what I was suppose to do to lose weight. Yeah, not staying on track is the biggest event of all. I was doing so good and guess what.... I became comfortable. Comfortably will get you every time. I guess I figured I didn't have to keep up the work to keep the weight off. Well I guess I shouldn't blame it all on being comfortable. Being lazy and tired of keeping track of everything played a huge role in things also. I'm just keeping it real. Nothing from a lot of nothing leaves weight gain.
I must say, it hasn't been so bad. I only gained 11lbs back in a year. Things could have been a lot worse. But here is the bad part..... I have gained those 11lbs since my honeymoon. Its 9/4/13 I got married on 7/25/13. Yeah it's only been a little over a month and I have gained 11lbs. Not good at all. Partly because work has slowed down and mostly because I have gotten very lazy when it comes to getting up and moving about. Also my husband and I have become lazy when it comes to cooking. We have been eating out a lot and when we do cook, the food isn't very healthy.
I will say I am setting a goal... down 30lbs by 12/4/13. That gives me 3 months. 10lbs a month very doable. I wont say what I will and will not do as far as exercise. That seems to get me caught in a trap I can't get out of every time. As for food, I will try to stick to the weight watchers/myfitnesspal concept. Weighing and keeping track of food portions.
I do have my husband as support but it would be nice to have someone going through the same thing I am going through, to help support and motivate what I have going on. My husband exercises true enough but he isn't over weight nor is he trying to lose weight. He is just maintaining what he has. Having someone who truly knows how hard losing weight is, who has similar problems as I do, who struggles with exercising and being motivated is what I need. Someone who can and will push me and I push them because we are trying to get a specific goal. I am hoping I can get that person, if not, oh well. I still have to do this. LET'S GO!!!

Insanity and New View

Needless to say Insanity didnt work out for me. I did stick in there for a while though. I quit with only 2 weeks to go. Why? Because what I was doing outside of the Insanity workout was off track, so the workout wasnt beneficial.  I dont know, I just cant get back into the groove of things. I see my goal, I see the new me, I see myself doing what I need to do but I cant follow through with it.

My new view on things is.... just flow. I will not say what I will and wont do. But I will definitely do my best to get in the groove. Its seem as though when I say I will eat this way and will workout like this everything goes left. So with that being said just make sure I dont go over board and try my best to stay focus on the bigger picture.

Its like a competition within myself that I am losing. I so want to win. I must win. New mindset.

Insanity Week 4

Ok it's week 4 and I dont see any results. Yes I know I have those day where I eat what I want and be like the hell with eating healthy but most days are healthy days, so I dont understand. I started at 207.4 and yesterday when I did my weigh in I was 203.8 a lose of 3.6lbs. Not good for 3 weeks. UGGGGHHHH. Thats not good for three weeks just dieting let alone with doing Insanity. I couldn't afford to eat from his meal plan but I still do my best to eat right most days.

When I do my weigh-in on Sunday I am one weight and it seems I spend the rest of the week trying to get back to that number and lower because some how I am 2-3lbs heavier by Tuesday. I know I need to really get a grip on things and cut out those "What the hell" days (but they keep me sane). Well maybe they don't keep me sane because they seem to be the reason I am not meeting my goal. Uggghhhh. I need those days.

Week 4 my goal is to eat healthy the whole week and see what happens.

Week 3 Insanity

I didnt workout Saturday and Sunday and I changed the start of my workout week to Monday instead of Wednesday, which puts me where I was suppose to be anyway. I did the fit test for week 3 on Monday. I will post my results below. I did better on most of everything but it was still hard. I thought I was going to be able to push right through it but sike. It was still killer. Week 6's fit test should be a whole like better (I hope). I hate working out 6 days a week with a passion but I will keep going and see what this 60 days will bring me.

Insanity Week 2

Today was day 2 of week 2 for me. I noticed that I have gotten a little better at hanging through an exercise. I do know that this workout is still no joke though. I did Pure Cardio again today and I do believe I did better than when I had to do it last week. So I am very happy about that. I am committed to this thing. I can do it.

Its funny how I dread doing the exercise and while I am going at it I am tired and feel like I am going to pass out. But once I am done I have more energy that a little bit. Exercise is the devil but the rewards are a beast. Gotta Love It. Happy Losing.

Insanity Day 2

INSANITY WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!! Day 2 Plyometric Cardio Circuit. When I tell you this workout is nothing compared to what I've been doing. I have been working out since July 2012 it now January 2013 and the previous workouts didn't even almost prepare me for Insanity. And to think, this is just day 2. I hope and pray by next week I can make it through a workout without feeling like my heart is going to pop out of my chest.

If you want a serious for real real workout challenge, try Insanity. No joke you will be tired with just the warm up, well at least I was. Maybe you are in better shape than I am and can make it to the stretch before you are ready to pass out, I don't know. But try the challenge and see what you can do. I encourage you to do so.

Honestly though I am very proud of myself for taking the challenge. I have been scared and said I would never try to do this workout but when my girl Kim suggested on my Angel's Eyes FB page that we do this challenge, I couldn't help but to take her up on it. I think this could be really good for me. I just hope I will stick to it.

My goal by the end of this 60 days is to lose at least 20lbs and get my stomach down. I know I will not be eating like it is suggested for this program, because a lot of the foods I don't eat and also because I don't have the funds to do so. I will make good food choices like I did to lose the 30lbs I have lost. I will refer back to previous blog posts where I tracked my food and also myfitnesspal.com. (If you are on myfitnesspal my username is WynterSkeyes. IJS) But anywho I can do this and so can you.

        PRAY FOR ME PLEASE!!!!!!!! LBVS
